This 10.5 metre (32’) bus with bodywork by Athol Hedges (in Brisbane) is unique in that it has a rear-mount engine and an Eton 2 speed diff. This is a 1971 model that was converted to a motor-home 5 to 6 years ago and has allowed us, as a couple, to tour every Australian state in total self contained comfort since then. Having now settled in one place (due to health issues) we have decided to sell it, well under original cost, so that someone else may be able to get as much enjoyment from it as we did.
A few of the included features are:
- An easily accessible reconditioned Isuzu 6BD1 turbo diesel engine with an Isuzu 5 speed gear-box
- Braking system is air over hydraulic and there are exhaust brakes fitted
- Clutch is air operated
- Passenger side has large under-floor storage bins, slide out gas BBQ & roll out awning (415A/HR deep cycle house batteries and the inverter charger are housed in the bins)
- Under-floor tanks include separate drinking and general use water as well as large grey water holding
- Roof mounted 360W solar panels and Winegard omni-directional TV antenna
- Roof is painted with Therma Shield heat reflective coating
- Bus was de-skinned, repainted and insulated prior to fit-out
- Tyres with 70% to 90% tread

- Large glass sliding windows give a light/bright effect and exceptional flow through ventilation
- A double island rear bed with under storage including safe
- Shower and cassette toilet
- Fully functional kitchen including double bowl sink, 4 burner gas stove with griller/oven and range hood
- All melamine cupboards including large pantry, wardrobe and endless storage
- 12V, 220L 2 door refrigerator
- Gas mains pressure hot water
- Bread maker, water filtration system, automatic washing machine, new JVC TV, DVD player, VHS video player, quad sound stereo with 10 stack CD, reversing camera, CB
- Dedicated comfortable lounge, eating and driving areas
